Datura, is also known as Hell’s bells, the Devil’s weed, Thornapple, or the Devil’s cucumber… to mention but a few of her many names. She is more commonly known as Datura innoxia, Datura metel, and Datura stramonium, all belonging to the Solanaceae family. This poison plant is one of the most sacred herbs baneful herbs, is highly poisonous, and should be handled with gloves, as it can cause skin irritation.

Used in Hex Breaking, sleep, and protection. it can be sprinkled around a house to drive away evil or troubled spirits. This is not recommended if you have pets or mini humans. As a shamanistic tool, Datura has been used by many cultures to aid in divination and spirit flight, opening the gates to the Upper and Lower worlds. Other visionary plants allow us to peer through these gates, while remaining anchored to the physical plane, Datura grants freedom from those shackles sending the spirit on journeys both above and below.
