Witch Hat & Broom Pewter Suncatcher

The witch hat symbolizes various concepts, including magical power and identity. Often associated with the idea of a “cone of power” used in rituals to focus energy. Its pointed shape has historical ties to marginalized groups. Such as Jews and Quakers, and has evolved into a representation of rebellion and the supernatural in popular culture.
During the 80’s and 90’s dark fantasy was rampant and there was also a full-blown pewter fantasy folk art boom. From science centres, museums, fantasy shops, and even to garden centres you would find pewter dragons coiled around crystals, witches flying through the air, wizards leaning on staffs, unicorns mid-gallop, fairies mid flight, and mermaids wrapped around stones.
I just so happened to find some magical pewter pieces to share with you! The Witch Hat & Broom Suncatcher has been carved and cast out of lead free pewter and beautifully sculpted in deep bas relief and accented with a 14mm moon crystal will add a touch of whimsy to any room or altar.
