Treasure Troll
CAD $10.00
Another favourite from my childhood I was obsessed with Treasure Trolls in the 90s! I remember my Baba & Aunty Annie borrowing them from me and bringing them to Bingo for good luck! I have heard of other people also using these funny little guys in games of chance and gambling.
Originally known as a Dam doll after their creator Danish woodcutter Thomas Dam, whose inspiration came from trolls in old Scandinavian folklore. First created in 1956 and made from a softer, more rubbery material than the smaller versions that became popular, and one of the North American biggest toy fads in the early 60s. They became popular again in the 90s and were copied by several manufacturers under different names.
Bring some good into your life with your very own mini treasure troll! Rub his wishstone for luck!
You will receive 1 random troll which one will pick you?
A long time ago, deep in a shadowy glade, there lived fairy-like creatures called Treasure Trolls. Their laughter tinkled like tiny silver bells as they scampered about fern and foliage searching for jewels called Wishstones.
Now they weren’t always this happy. In fact, they used to be downright sad and they would have been sad to this very day, save for one little Troll who found a Wishstone glistening in a bubbling brook. She picked it up, held it to her belly, and sang this simple wishsong,
“Tinkle, twinkle, hair so fuzzy, Tinkle Twinkle bees goes buzzy, Wish I may, Wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight.” With a poof and a puff and in a twist of light so bright, that simple troll was magically transformed into a Treasure Troll. From then and thereafter, any troll that found a Wishstone was delightfully transformed into a Treasure Troll.
Now all of the Treasure Trolls are wishing on their Wishstones that your wishes can come true.
