In many Slavic countries “To eat by spoonful” refers to one having plenty of something, and a spoon had its place first as a household and table utensil, as an amulet against hunger, & was also alleged to increase prosperity, and good luck.
This little spoon “scoops” money, & stores it in your wallet and is alleged to enrich its owner, bring good luck in business and get rid of debt. Place the spoon in your wallet where paper money is stored but before you do whisper these special words over the talisman.
