The dream of the 90’s is alive at The Witchery! I have always loved the aesthetic of the 90s, but one aspect that I truly miss from that moment in time is the sun and moon decor that was so popular during that decade. I have spent the last 20 years finding and hoarding anything celestial I can from my teen years. I have now decided to share some of it with you.

This vintage 90s old world lantern features punched panels that will cast a protective serene glow of stars and moons all around. The burnished finish and cutouts give the lantern an old world style and will add a touch of celestial whimsy to any room or altar.. Use with tea light candle. 

In folklore, a will-o’-the-wisp is a ghost light seen over bogs, swamps or marshes by travellers at night. Known in English and European folklore by a variety of names, including jack-o’-lantern, friar’s lantern, hinkypunk and hobby lantern and is said to mislead travellers by resembling a flickering lamp or light.

Appearing in folk tales and traditional legends of numerous countries and cultures; notable wisps include St. Louis Light in Saskatchewan, The Spooklight in Southwestern Missouri, Marfa lights of Texas, the Naga fireballs in Thailand, the Paulding Light in Upper Peninsula of Michigan and the Hessdalen light in Norway. While urban legends, folklore and superstition typically attribute the wisps to ghosts, fairies or other elemental spirits.
