Long associated with myths, folklore and magic. Sadly many of these tales portray Toads and frogs as demons and creatures associated with the devil. Some viewed them as representative of good fortune, protection, rain, fertility, resurrection, and as a stage of spiritual awakening. In European folklore it was bad luck to kill a toad or frog, as “they housed the souls of the dead“. During the Middle Ages toads went from being a sacred symbol to a manifestation of evil. The toad (along with frogs) became associated with witches. Now seen as a devoted magical animal used to carry out all sorts of diabolical deeds.
Milky Baltic Amber is a completely natural form of amber but a rarer. Characterized by its white to creamy butterscotch yellow shades. It is often referred to as Royal Amber, Antique Amber, Yolk Amber, White or Yellow Amber.
Associated with time, cycles, and longevity. As it was once a living substance, it’s related to spirit. Worn to avert misfortune, for protection, and to keep one safe from black magic. They cast out devils, guarded against evil eye, brought luck in love, and made the owner stronger and cleverer. Warm to the touch and alleged to contain the very essence of life itself. People believed Baltic Amber “pulled out” diseases from the body and “attracted” good luck. Much in the same way it attracts small objects if you rub it.
