CAD $650.00

In Slavic folklore spiders and their webs represent good luck, perseverance, patience, fortune telling, love, and the fulfilment of wishes. The Pavuk (“spider”) motif is found on pysanky eggs, folk art, and in the traditional geometric Straw mobiles. Slavic folklore tells of the earth being suspended on a warp spun by a spider. Ethnographers consider the pavuk to also be sun symbols based on their appearance.

The Amulets averted misfortune, for protection, and to keep one safe from black magic. They cast out devils, guarded against evil eye, brought luck in love, and made the owner stronger and cleverer. Much in the same way it attracts small objects if you rub it.
