This magical Hutsul Carved Wood Inlay Bracelet ~ Antique is a stunning and rare item that was intricately hand carved and hand painted by a master. For many centuries, the Hutsuls of western Ukraine carved various wooden items. They are famous for their Wood carving (різблення художне; rizblennia khudozhne). Creating wooden plates, spoons, bowls, canes, furniture, cards, sleds, gates, beams, gables and decorated them with designs organically linked with the practical function of those objects. Richly carved crosses and three-armed candlesticks played an important role in family and religious rituals.

The ornamentation of Hutsul wood carving is flat-carved and geometric. It is often enriched with inlays of coloured wood, bone, metal wire, mother-of-pearl, and beads.
