Adding hawthorn to an amulet will protect you from spirits and harmful magic.

Where these three trees grow together, one may see Fairies. A sacred Tree in Northern Europe for centuries, boughs of Hawthorne were once used to decorate Maypoles. The trees themselves seldom grow past ten feet, so using the tree itself for a Maypole was rare.

Long ago, hawthorns were believed to be witches who had transformed into trees; long have the cunningfolk celebrated the First-of-May beneath the Hawthorne Tree. Carry the Berries in a sachet or charm bag to overcome grief or sadness.
