Vintage Cocky Chicken Plate from the 1950’s-1960’s. I believe the funny poem on the plate is somehow connected to a song called Rooster Blues by Delbert McClinton. Much like the chicken and the egg I have no idea which one came first..
“Said the little Red Rooster to the Little Red Hen, You haven’t Laid an Egg in God knows when. Said the Little red hen to the little red rooster, You haven’t come around as often as you uster!”
