Wax Pouring Ceromancy Divination Kit Deluxe
CAD $65.00
The weeks surrounding Christmas are for divination and sorting out your future. It’s believed that unearthly powers, magic and spirits become available during this time. Our ancestors used this opportunity to foretell their future by interpreting signs. Carried out during the Svyatki Celebrations: the two-week period after Christmas until Epiphany. Fortune telling traditions during this time are popular especially in small towns and villages. The most auspicious time for divination comes on the first Svyatki night around midnight.
One of the most common methods of ceromancy is to heat wax until molten and pour directly into cold water. The shapes and movements of the wax as it cools and solidifies are read to forecast the future. Another version of Wax Pouring or “the pouring forth of fear” was a folk medicine ritual practiced among Ukrainians. Called “Strakh Vylyvaty” the Ukrainian wax pouring ceremony is a type of folk medicine where the healer pours melted beeswax into blessed water. These shapes may form into whatever the person is afraid of and the healer interprets them. The wax becomes the source of fears that could be causing the person to experience illnesses in their daily life. Once these fears are poured out of the person, they are gone for good. Thusly the person can go on living without them.
The wax ceremony is a blend of magic, religion, symbols, and faith. It was very important to Ukrainian settlers at the time of immigration to the New World. As it was a method to reduce stress and anxiety in the patient. This was a time when the resources of modern medicine were hard for them to come by. This was due to financial difficulties and the lack of knowing the English language.
This mini kit has everything you need to perform a wax pouring for divination.. one of the most popular ways is to melt wax through a key’s hole into a bowl filled with cold water. The wax is removed and held in front of a light source. By interpreting its shadow, one can foresee what is awaiting in the future, or learn about their surroundings in present.
