I love old religious iconography, I use saints & religious artifacts in my spellwork, & have no issues or qualms doing so. I also have a bad habit of collecting any & all rosaries that I come across. I am offering you a piece of my collection, one vintage rosary out of my horde. <3

Catholics were not the first to pray with beads, and while the exact origin of prayer beads is unknown, people of many faiths and cultures (Witches, Pagans, Hindus, Greeks, Buddhists, and more) have (and still) use beads to pray. In fact, the word bead in English is actually derived from an Old English word bede that means prayer. The use of prayer beads almost universally is to allow the person to keep track of the number of prayers / petitions / devotions / spells that have been said, while at the same time focusing on the deeper meaning of what you are whispering.

As Christianity swept into pagan lands, it replaced old religions, rather than discarding the old gods entirely, some cultures re-branded the native gods as Christian saints. Mary & Jesus are nothing more than dying-&-rising fertility gods.

Can be used to connect to your Deities, Spirits & Familiars through ritual & mediation work.
