The Devils Blackberry Votive Candle

It was said Lucifer landed in blackberry brambles when he was cast down from heaven, and so he cursed them so they would be ugly. It was alleged that he hated them so much that he would stomp on them during Michealmas Day on September 29th. It is now believed that if you harvest them after that day it is thought to be unlucky but other folklore says this happens on Halloween. (so who knows)
Even with the devilish associations, blackberries are still considered protective against crappy people, earthbound spirits and vampires. If planted near a home, a vampire couldn’t enter because he would obsessively count the berries and forget what he was about.
Candles are used in religious rituals & for spiritual means as both functional & symbolic lights. It was believed that burning candles would aid in protection & invite helpful spirits into the home.
Burn for protection against psychic vampires, spirits and ol’ Jack himself on this All Hallows’.

I love the candles that The Witch makes and this one is no exception! I needed something nice to light and place by my doors for protection and these candles do the trick!
