Bees have fascinated humans since time immemorial and have long been associated with fertility, joy, feminine power, teamwork, growth, industriousness and the sweetness of life.

The use of candles in rituals can be traced back to ancient civilizations. One of the earliest recorded uses dates back to ancient Egypt. Where candles were used in religious ceremonies. It was believed the light of the candle helped guide souls to the afterlife. During the Middle Ages candles took on specific colours and symbolism. This period also saw the development of candle iconography, where the shape of the candle held meaning. Taper candles have a gradual pointed shape and were often used for focused intention work. Figure candles, shaped like crosses, people, or symbols, represented specific energies.

Bees have fascinated humans since time immemorial. They can greatly reduce dust and other allergens in your home. They can help improve indoor air quality by producing negative ions which have the same effect as houseplants. Studies have shown that burning stimulates the pituitary gland, increasing intuition, creativity and heightening dream activity.

Warning!

Candles may drip, so always burn candle on a non-porous heat resistant container to catch wax. Keep out of drafts. Do not move candles while burning or if wax is hot. Keep out of reach of children & pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Do not burn for more than 2 hours at a time. Candle casing colours may not be exactly as shown due to stock.

Bloom

NOTE: Candles may arrive to you with “Bloom” on them. This refers to the whitish cast that takes over the outside of the candle & does not affect the way a candle burns, and lets you know that your candles are 100% beeswax. Just as the bees make it possible for flowers to bloom, the wax they create also blooms over time, & appears on all pure beeswax as its natural oils rise to the surface. Some people love the vintage look of a bloomed beeswax candle, while others like their candles to shine. If you want a glossy candle, just take a soft cloth and wipe away the bloom.
