In Ukrainian folklore the celestial stars in the sky are thought to be lit candles or the souls of the dead. If a large numbers of stars were seen in the night sky it was thought to be an omen perceived as prosperity, wealth, and good harvests. This included plentiful grain, fruit, livestock, berries, and mushrooms.
Baltic Amber has associations with time, cycles, and longevity. As it was once a living substance, it’s related to spirit. Alleged to extend protection to the wearer, avert misfortune, keep its owner safe from black magic, guard one from the evil eye, bring luck in love, and even makes it’s owner stronger and cleverer.

Much in the same way it attracts dust when rubbed. The ancient Greeks noted this ability to generate static electricity and called Amber “elektron”.
