We hate to burst your bubble, but this is not the famous cooking Saffron you may be thinking of. Cooking Saffron consists of hand picked stamens – these are bulk harvested petals. They will not do much for your rice, but can do quite a bit for your Sun incense, potpourri, or love life. American Saffron (Safflower) can be used as a solar incense. It is also used by gay men to attract partners; either burn on charcoal and smoke yourself with the fumes, or steep American Saffron and Sampson Snake Root in safflower oil and rub the oil on the backs of the knees, thighs and buttocks.
