Man in the Moon Choker
CAD $65.00
The Man in the Moon Choker on black velvet is adorned with the indubitable insignia of M’era Luna. This is the forlorn face of Melies’ 1902 Man in the Moon. Inspired by the famous gothic music festival M’era Luna, the piece itself a nod to the classic film “A Trip to the Moon” by Georges Melies.
In the late 80’s to late 90’s there was a full-blown fantasy folk art pewter boom. From science centres, to museums, fantasy shops, and even garden centres. These things were everywhere! Dragons coiled around crystals, witchesflying through the air, unicorns mid-gallop, fairies, and mermaids.
1 ¼” pewter moon featuring the ‘man in the moon’ face in raised relief, threaded onto a 39″ in long black velvet ribbon which can be “fastened” by hand tying.
Designed and hand made in England
