Mokosh is the protector of women’s work and destiny, she is a goddess of fertility, water, and women. According to folklore she shears sheep and spins thread. Her name itself is derived from the word combo maty kota‘mother of the cat,’ ‘mother of good fortune. She is depicted with a cornucopia on the Zbruch idol. In the 14th to 16th centuries her cult was transformed into that of Saint Parasceve. Her feast day is 10 November (28 October os)

Baltic Amber is associated with time, cycles, and longevity. As it was once a living substance, it’s related to spirit. They cast out devils, guarded against the evil eye, brought luck in love, and made its owner stronger and cleverer. Warm to the touch and containing the very essence of life itself. Thought to “pull” diseases from the body and “attract” good luck. Often harvested from the sea, it has associations with fertility, life, and catharsis.
